"Glamorous Sweat: the Movers & Shakers behind the $25 billion Fitness Industry"
I have the kind of wide-ranging background that means a personal training session will encompass much more than weight-lifting.
I was a professional modern dancer in New York and Boston.
I enjoy century bike rides and completed the 545-mile California AIDS ride twice.
I teach dance to kids in the public schools through the National Dance Institute.
I write about the arts for the Pasatiempo section of the New Mexican and was a dance critic in San Francisco.
I am fascinated by each of my client's stories--we are more than our physical beings.
A typical session will include:
Warm-up, Free-standing balance and movement-based exercises.
Free weight and cable sequences that involve multiple planes and complex muscle activation.
Full-body workout featuring continually innovative ways to achieve exhaustion and strength gains.
Assisted stretching (Thai massage influence) to finish every workout.
I have enjoyed ten-year relationships with many clients in California, and am building the same client base here in Santa Fe. I consider my working relationships a valuable part of my life.
